🚀 Get ready for lift off! Youth will BUILD THEIR OWN model rocket with a kit while learning about aerodynamics and basic engineering concepts. This hands-on project meeting encourages creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork as participants explore the science behind rocketry in a fun and engaging environment.

💲 FREE, due to a generous donation

Youth in grades 3 and up will learn the basics of rocket design and safe building techniques while creating a rocket they can be proud of.

All supplies will be provided.

The group will set a LAUNCH date and location in 2027. More information will be available in January.

4-H Drone Day at Arlington Research Center was a flying success! Youth experienced the power of drone technology and learned how it is shaping the future of agriculture. Special thanks to UW-Madison College of Agriculture and Life Sciences experts Zhou Zhang, Zezhong Tian, Jeff Nelson, and Bryce Himmelberg for inspiring the next generation with hands-on learning and demonstrations. From flying drones to seeing how they help farmers make data-driven decisions, our 4-H youth gained a whole new perspective on agriculture and technology.

Many clubs participate in this annual 4-H fundraiser. October 19 is the deadline for 4-H Clubs to send their Club Wreath and Roping order form and payment to the 4-H Office.

Each club will have an earlier date to submit orders to your Club Wreath Fundraiser Coordinator.

Join us for 4‑H Cloverbud 🍀 Learn to Fish Day! 🐟 4-H Ambassadors and Dane County Parks staff will teach us real-life fishing skills near Fish Hatchery Road at Jenni & Kyle Preserve which is handicapped-accessible.

This event is open to youth (K-2nd) as well as their family and friends. Please register your siblings and any friend(s) that wish to come too! A parent, guardian, or other adult must stay with participants throughout the even (NOTE: Adults do not need to register). Space is limited to 25 participants and a waiting list is available. Registration includes a snack and all activity supplies.

🍵 Get ready to mix, measure, and make delicious treats at our 4-H Foods 101 Project Meeting! Youth will build basic kitchen skills through a fun measuring activity and food preparation.

💲 FREE, donations for the cost of food welcome $3/youth at mtg

Youth will split by age level for hands-on cooking experiences. Members in Grades 3-5 will practice food preparation skills by creating a fruit smoothie and colorful fruit salad, while youth in Grades 6 and older will take their baking skills to the next level by learning how to make a homemade coffee cake.

This interactive session is a great opportunity to gain confidence in the kitchen, try new foods, and have fun cooking with new friends!

Join us at the Arlington Research Station for a hands-on event exploring how DRONES, ROBOTS, AI, and ENGINEERING are transforming modern agriculture. Youth in Grades 5 through high school and their families will experience live drone demonstrations, see cutting-edge farm technology in action, learn from UW–Madison experts, and enjoy fun activities like pumpkin painting, veggie art, and station exploration.

Registration is limited to 50 participants. An adult must accompany youth.
