Welcome the newest Eagle Scout of the Chippewa Valley. Rhett Zwiefelhofer is going to be a freshman and earned his award with 44 merit badges and a project at the Town of Lafayette fields and Lake Wissota Lions Club pavilion building 8 decorative cabinets around the garbage and recycling bins.
Rhett and his family live in Gods country. What a beautiful piece of property they have and it was a blessing to attend the ceremony with so many amazing Chippewa Valley Council, Scouting America representatives and family members and friends.

TODAY is the day! Postpartum coverage up to 12 months has officially started. This bill I authored alongside Representative Patrick Snyder will help a projected 16,000 mothers on Medicaid - amazing! HUGE thanks to everyone who made this possible. Let's continue efforts to support a healthier Wisconsin!

Medicaid postpartum coverage is now in effect for a full year for Wisconsin moms. Expected to help more than 16,000 Medicaid members this year alone, the extension delivers on a key promise Governor Tony Evers made to Wisconsin moms, babies, and families to provide access to critical care when it’s needed.

I am extremely honored to have received such an award. This is the first time a legislator in Wisconsin has received this prestigious recognition in over 12 years. Hard work from my staff and I along with my colleagues in the Assembly were able to accomplish this together. It takes a team to get things passed on our floors.

Good luck to the Athens School District Wisconsin Softball team, today!

This morning, the Athens Softball Team will take on Belmont in the Division 5 Semifinals of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association's State Softball Tournament. This is the program's first-ever appearance at state. I wish them the very best in today's game. Go Bluejays!
