I had the honor of speaking at yesterday's Emergency Gun Violence Summit in Milwaukee and meeting so many of the inspiring people working to make our communities safer. Gun violence impacts every corner of our state, and preventing it will take all of us working together.

Digital skills are becoming more and more critical in nearly every job, and Milwaukee residents deserve the chance to build and advance their careers in these fields.

That is why I was thrilled to join the Greater Milwaukee Urban League and Spectrum in celebrating a $15,000 Digital Education Grant that supports programs helping young people and adults learn new skills, earn certifications, and prepare for career opportunities.

Thank you to Spectrum News 1 Wisconsin for its continued investment and to Dr. Eve Hall and the Greater Milwaukee Urban League for the work you do every day to help Milwaukee residents succeed!

On Wednesday, I was honored to receive the 2026 Community Health Center Champion Award from the Wisconsin Primary Health Care Association in recognition of my support for Community Health Centers.

These centers bring primary, dental, and behavioral health care together in one place, meeting patients where they are, regardless of income or insurance status. Thank you to WPHCA for this recognition and for your work to make health care accessible across Wisconsin!

On Tuesday, I had a great visit with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee at the Mary Ryan Club in Sherman Park. I was glad to see the progress on improvements to the surrounding park and to learn more about the new Early Learning Center serving 3- and 4-year-olds.

Access to child care and afterschool programs gives children more places to learn and grow while helping parents balance their busy lives. Thank you to the Boys & Girls Clubs team for the tour and for serving families across Milwaukee!
