Help Us Keep Hoosiers Warm This Winter

ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM APPLICATIONS OPEN OCTOBER 1

The 2026–2027 Energy Assistance Program (EAP) application period opens October 1, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. EDT.

We invite our community partners to help spread the word and connect individuals and families with this important resource.

The Energy Assistance Program provides a one-time benefit to eligible households to help with home energy costs, including heating and electric expenses. For many Hoosier families, this assistance can make a meaningful difference during the cold winter months.

26 names.

26 young men from Belmont County, Ohio who went to serve and did not come home. Their names are etched into the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. – and this October, those names come here.

The Wall That Heals carries every one of them. When it stands in St. Clairsville, families and neighbors will be able to walk up, find a name, and feel the weight of that loss – and the depth of that love – close to home.

If your family is connected to one of Belmont County's 26 fallen veterans, we want you to know: there is a place for you here. This tribute is for you.
