🎃📚 Lights, Camera, Reader’s Theatre! 🎭👻

Our third graders are getting excited for MCHS’s production of The Legend of Spooky Hollow! In anticipation of the show, students explored the legend, read a shortened version of the story, and stepped into the spotlight as actors in their very own Reader’s Theatre!

They also enjoyed reading an article from The Madison Courier featuring the upcoming production and its cast. The biggest excitement? Discovering that some former Rykers’ Ridge Wildcats will be taking the stage! 🐾❤️🖤

We love seeing our Wildcats’ talents grow and shine, both inside and outside the classroom! Way to go, third graders! 👏🎭

🎃👻 Legends, Laughter & Learning! 👻🎃

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow sparked some great discussions among our 2nd graders! Many students first thought of legends as sports heroes, so we explored what a legend means in literature. 📚

We watched a short video that was just a little spooky but brought plenty of giggles! 😂

Now, our Wildcats are eagerly counting down to their visit to the MCHS Opal Auditorium to enjoy a LIVE performance of The Legend of Spooky Hollow! 🎭🐎🎃

Learning is always an adventure at Rykers’ Ridge! 💚🖤🤍

🎃👻 Escape from Sleepy Hollow! 👻🎃

Our fourth graders were excited to explore The Legend of Sleepy Hollow! They read two different versions of the story, watched a short video, and read an article from The Madison Courier about Madison Consolidated High School’s upcoming theatre production, which they’ll see LIVE on Friday! 🎭

To wrap up their learning, students tackled 5 challenges to Escape from Sleepy Hollow! Each team put their reading and math skills to the test while demonstrating teamwork, effective communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

💚 💪 Every team worked together to earn their ticket out! 💚 💪

Way to go, Wildcats! You escaped Sleepy Hollow! 🐎🎃
