Last week we had a chance to interview the Governor of Maryland, Wes Moore on why it is important as a man to elect someone like David Crowley for Governor. The answer was simple, David is someone who wants to see real change happen in our communities. His answer speaks to how those experiences influence every decision he makes when he shows up to work as Governor.

David Crowley is the only candidate with a real plan to support UW System schools and college students through restoring funding, lowering costs, and increasing opportunities for students across the state, he knows personally what its like to be a student after recently graduating from UW-Milwaukee.

This Sunday’s Inaugural Awards Cookout was a huge success, thanks to all of our sponsors, supporters, board members, and volunteers. We are so grateful for everyone who was able to attend and support the Black Caucus for this event and for this entire year.

Our work is so much more than getting out the vote for Democrats; it is about normalizing Black leadership and voices in all spaces. That means advocating for a Black policy agenda, investing in leadership development, and supporting Black candidates throughout the Democratic Party and beyond.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients, who are living our Caucus mission and are working tirelessly to make this state a better place for everyone.
