💙 Happy National Police Woman Day! 💙

Today, we celebrate the incredible women in law enforcement who show up every day with courage, compassion, strength, and an unwavering commitment to serve and protect.

From the women who patrol our streets to those who investigate crimes, lead departments, respond to emergencies, and stand beside their communities during their darkest moments, your dedication does not go unnoticed.

👮‍♀️ You are strong when the job is hard.
👮‍♀️ You are compassionate when people need it most.
👮‍♀️ You are brave when others are afraid.
👮‍♀️ You are an inspiration to the next generation of women who dream of wearing the badge.

To every female officer, deputy, investigator, and law enforcement professional: Thank you for the sacrifices you make, the lives you touch, and the difference you make every single day. Your badge represents more than a career. It represents service, sacrifice, and a commitment to something greater than yourself.

From all of us at Monroe County E-911, we are proud to stand beside you and grateful for all you do. 💙

Happy National Police Woman Day! 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 — WE REMEMBER. 🇺🇸

25 years later, we still remember the morning that changed our nation forever.

We remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost.
We remember the families who never got to say goodbye.
We remember the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMTs, dispatchers, and countless civilians who answered the call when their country, and their fellow Americans, needed them most.

We remember those who ran toward the danger while others were running away. We remember the heroes who continued answering calls in the days, weeks, months, and years that followed, carrying the weight of what they witnessed and the lives they could never forget.

As emergency communications professionals, we know that every call begins with a voice on the other end of a phone. On September 11, 2001, thousands of those voices were met by people who stayed calm in the chaos and did everything they could to help.

Today, we honor their courage.
We honor their sacrifice.
We honor their families.
And most importantly, we remember.

🇺🇸 Never Forget. 🇺🇸

TEACHING TUESDAY: What Happens Once the Patient is Loaded? ⏱️🩺

We hear this question quite often. "Why did the ambulance sit in the driveway after they loaded the patient?" We wanted to highlight what happens inside the ambulance once the patient is loaded, for those who may be curious.

The Initial Assessment:

📊 Primary Survey & Vitals: Rapidly evaluating airway, breathing, circulation, and acquiring baseline vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, pulse oximetry, blood glucose level, etc.).

⚡ ECG Acquisition: Connecting cardiac monitoring for continuous 4-lead or 12-lead diagnostic tracings to detect cardiac events early.

🩺 Targeted Intervention: Initiating oxygen therapy, establishing IV/IO vascular access, or administering protocol-driven, life-saving medications immediately.

🛠️ Fast, accurate assessment and treatment skills in those first minutes make all the difference in delivering high-quality, pre-hospital medicine!
