Kentucky Earthquake Awareness Week: Check Your Emergency Supplies

After a damaging earthquake, some of the services and supplies we normally depend on may not be immediately available.

That's why emergency kits matter.

Think about having supplies in three places: an at-home kit for sheltering where you live, a to-go kit you can take if you need to leave quickly and a vehicle kit for emergencies that happen while you're away from home.

Already have your kits? Emergency supplies aren't “build it and forget it.” Food expires, batteries lose their charge, medications and household needs change, and children grow.

TODAY’S ACTION: Check one emergency kit today. Don't have one yet? Gather the first three items for it.
