The Bergen County Fire Academy continues to be a busy and energetic place this summer!

From recruits learning the fundamentals in Firefighter 1, to firefighters advancing their skills in Firefighter 2, to individual departments sharpening their abilities through hands-on training, the work never stops and neither does the progress.

We’re also proud to host the UN Fire Brigade this summer. This unique group serves as firefighters, EMTs, and security personnel for the United Nations, and we’re honored to support their training here at the BCFA.

We still have room for your department to train with us as well! If interested, please send an application to [email protected].

We hope to see you at the Academy soon. In the meantime, enjoy some images of our classes and the hardworking firefighters putting in the effort every day!

We know it’s been a while since our last update and we appreciate your patience!

The Bergen County Fire Academy has been incredibly busy training firefighters from across the county and beyond, and while that’s great news for the fire service, it’s pulled us away from keeping this page as active as we’d like.

But that’s exactly what we love about this place: the academy is always moving, always teaching, and always working to build stronger, safer communities. Every week, men and women walk through our doors ready to learn, challenge themselves, and step up for the residents they serve.

If you’ve been thinking about advancing your skills, joining a class, or getting more involved in the fire service, there is no better time. Our instructors, programs, and facilities are here to support you, whether you’re just starting out or looking to sharpen your expertise.

Stay tuned for more frequent updates, course announcements, and a closer look at what makes the Bergen County Fire Academy one of the busiest and most dedicated training facilities in the region. Thank you for your continued support, and as always, stay safe and train hard.
