I stand proudly with the 4,000 nurses at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and MGB Home Care Clinicians as they fight for a fair contract that prioritizes safe patient care, strong staffing, and the respect they deserve. I hope an agreement can be reached at the bargaining table, but I will always stand with the Massachusetts Nurses Association as they fight for the working conditions and resources needed to care for their patients.

💪 Malden Main Streets Business Highlight: X Step Fitness!

This week, we’re highlighting X-Step Fitness, a local fitness business helping members of the Malden community stay active, build strength, and reach their fitness goals.

X-Step Fitness is owned by Henry, a Malden local who was raised in the city and is a proud Malden High School alumnus. Now, he’s giving back to the community he grew up in by creating a space where people can challenge themselves, stay motivated, and work toward becoming stronger and healthier.

We love seeing Malden residents invest back into the community and turn their passions into local businesses!

📍 Check out X Step Fitness at www.xstepfitness.com and support a Malden-grown business!

It was wonderful to join the Malden community for the grand opening of Phase 1 of Malden River Works Park!

After more than five years of planning, collaboration, and community advocacy, we were excited to celebrate the opening of this beautiful new space, Malden’s first riverfront park. Thank you to everyone who helped make this vision a reality, from community leaders and local advocates to the Mystic River Watershed Association and all the residents and partners who worked together throughout this process.

With a restored landscape, new public boating dock, 200+ new trees, rain gardens, and an open lawn space, Malden River Works Park is a wonderful new addition to our community. I’m proud to have been part of this milestone and look forward to seeing residents enjoy this space for years to come!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In Massachusetts alone, more than 6,000 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, reflecting the stark reality that one in eight women will face this diagnosis in their lifetime.

As we mark this month, let us honor those we have lost to the disease while recognizing the strength of survivors and those currently in active treatment.

Happy Italian-American Heritage Month! The United States Congress first recognized Italian-American Heritage Month in October 1989 as a tribute to Italian-Americans' contributions to our nation and to highlight the cultural impact of the Italian-American community.

As a proud Italian-American, join me in celebrating the rich culture, food, art, and generational traditions of Italian-Americans!
