WEBSTER STREET ROAD CLOSURE

Please take notice that Webster Street will be closed between 314 Webster Street and 348 Webster Street due to National Grid Power Station Construction.

The road will be closed during the following dates and times:

September 28, 2026: 8:00 AM until completion of work

October 5, 2026: 8:00 AM until completion of work

Detour: Please use Indian Trails Road and Royce Road as the designated detour routes.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING -- NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Town Board of the Town of Malone will conduct a Public Hearing at the Malone Town Offices, 27 Airport Road, Malone NY at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday October 14th, 2026, to consider the adoption of Local Law #1 of 2026 which would allow the Town of Malone to override the Tax Cap for Fiscal Year 2027. All those attending will have the right to present written and oral comments and ask questions regarding the 2027 Budget Tax Cap.

MOTOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
TOWN OF MALONE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT

The Town of Malone Highway Department is seeking applications to fill a full-time (40 hour per week) position of Motor Equipment Operator. This position requires recurring manual work involving responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of various types of motor equipment under supervision in accordance with established policies and procedures. The successful applicant must reside in Franklin County at least thirty (30) days prior to application and possess one year of paid experience in operation of a motor vehicle, preferably some experience driving trucks or other vehicles with manual transmissions, and must possess a NYS commercial driver’s license (Class B with Air Brake Endorsement CDL). Copy of driver’s license must be submitted with application. Applications are available at the Town Highway Garage and online at http://franklincony.org (Application for Examination or Employment), will be accepted until position is filled, and should be submitted to the Town of Malone Highway Department, 3249 State Route 11, Malone, NY 12953. HELP WANTED--The Town of Malone is seeking applicants to fill the Deputy Town Clerk position. This is a full-time (30 hours per week) position with health and retirement benefits. This position requires dealing with the public, issuing licenses and permits, and assisting the Town Clerk/Tax Receiver with all aspects of Town of Malone business in accordance with NYS rules and regulations and other duties as assigned. The successful applicant MUST live in the Town or Village of Malone, MUST have the ability to be bonded, and pass a background check.
