🎉 Our Huskies wrapped up Hispanic Heritage Month with a fun-filled Spirit Week celebrating culture, traditions, and big dreams!

From wearing their country’s colors and representing Hispanic and Latino soccer teams to dressing as vaqueros and vaqueras, showing off their Spanish spirit, and dressing for the careers they dream of pursuing, each day brought something special. 🐾💙 Thank you to our students and staff for making it a week full of pride, participation, and school spirit!

Learning in Action! 🌽

Our fifth graders took their learning into the great outdoors this week with a fall field trip to Maple Tree Farm! As part of Unit 1 in their Benchmark Advance ELA curriculum, students have been exploring the cultivation of natural resources, and what better way to bring that learning to life than with a trip to the farm?

Students discovered how corn grows and learned about its journey from planting to harvest, put their knowledge to the test in a corn maze, and uncovered fun facts along the way. To top it all off, each student picked a mini pumpkin to take home!

It was a day full of discovery, hands-on learning, and fall fun that brought their classroom lessons to life!

Husky Fam,

Join us on October 14th for our first PEP (Parents as Educational Partners) meeting!

PEP is a program designed to help families better understand the school system and learn about the tools and resources available to support their child’s success.

At our first meeting, we’ll talk about:
-How the school system works
-Who the key school staff are and how they can support your child
-Tips for a successful parent-teacher conference
-Resources and supports available to families
And more!

We hope you’ll join us as we learn how to better navigate the school system and support our students together.

We look forward to seeing you on October 14th!
