PHI Air Medical Manassas - AirCare 1

25 years later, we remember. 🇺🇸

We remember the lives lost.
The families forever changed.
The heroes who ran toward danger while others ran away.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, first responders, and ordinary Americans who showed extraordinary courage.

AirCare 1 may look different today, but the dedication remains the same. The aircraft may change, the technology may evolve, and the years may pass—but the commitment to answering the call, serving others, and being there when people need us most never changes.

May we never forget the courage, sacrifice, and unity of September 11, 2001.

25 years have passed, but the memories remain.
Always remembered. Forever honored. Never forgotten. 🕊️🇺🇸

A powerful reminder that saving a life is rarely a solo effort-whether it’s first responders, medical professionals, family, friends or a whole community, it takes a TEAM to make a difference.

Today I had the honor of presenting Captain Jim Schafer with his 20-year service pin. His leadership, dedication, and commitment to serving others have made an immeasurable impact over the past two decades.

For 20 years at AirCare 1, Captain Schafer has touched countless lives through his professionalism, compassion, and unwavering service. His contributions extend far beyond the missions he has flown—they’re reflected in the people he’s mentored, the patients he’s helped, and the legacy he’s built.

Congratulations on this incredible milestone, Captain Schafer. Thank you for 20 years of exceptional service and for making a difference every single day.
