GETTING READY FOR BACK TO SCHOOL

The first day of school is almost here, and the Parkway Security Department is getting ready!

This week, our patrol vehicles are heading through Transportation for inspections, oil changes, tire rotations and other routine maintenance.

Taking care of the little things now helps keep our vehicles on the road when school is in session so our officers can be where they’re needed when students and staff return.

Preparation is a big part of keeping Parkway ready.

The Creve Coeur Police Department will be conducting Emergency Response Training on June 17–18, 2026, at Parkway Northeast Middle School.

Community members may observe law enforcement personnel, emergency vehicles, and training activities at the school during this time. This is a planned training event and there is no threat to students, staff, or the public. School is not in session during the training.

Training exercises such as these help ensure responding personnel remain prepared to effectively manage emergencies and continue providing a safe learning environment for our schools.

We appreciate the community's understanding and support as we work together to enhance emergency preparedness and public safety.

While students and staff enjoy a well-earned summer break, Parkway School District Security continues working year-round.

Today, our officers spent the day on the range conducting fi****ms training and strengthening critical skills to ensure we remain prepared to protect the Parkway Schools community at all times. Continuous training helps ensure our team stays professional, capable, and ready to respond whenever needed.

We hope everyone is enjoying a safe and relaxing summer, we’ll still be here, training and preparing for the new school year ahead.

Today was all about connection, visibility, and community. 🚲☀️

From handing out stickers and talking bike safety to jumping into games and spending time with students, Lieutenant Eck spent the day building positive relationships across our schools. Moments like these remind us that school safety is about far more than responding to emergencies, it’s about being present, approachable, and creating an environment where students feel comfortable, supported, and safe.

We’re proud of the work our officers do each day to connect with the Parkway community both inside and outside the classroom. 💙🖤

Today we proudly recognize our Parkway School District School Resource Officers and School Safety Officers for National School Resource Officer & Security Day.

Every day they balance safety, compassion, and professionalism, from keeping traffic moving safely in the morning to being a trusted adult students can turn to during difficult moments. Their work often happens quietly, but its impact is felt across every building and every classroom.
