Recent federal funding changes resulted in the loss of nearly $1 million intended to help expand this program through 2028, limiting our ability to provide local, fresh foods to those who need them most.

We were so grateful for the opportunity last week to visit with our Feeding America affiliate, the The Greater Boston Food Bank - special thanks to GBFB Chief Operating Officer Cheryl Schondek for an informative overview of their operations, growth, and impact throughout Eastern Massachusetts and beyond. Cheryl and key members of the GBFB team hosted us for lunch, and led us on a tour of their amazing facility in the heart of Boston.

As food prices continue to rise, food banks across the country are experiencing increased demand for assistance. It was valuable to share ideas, lessons learned, and best practices, as we seek to strengthen our collective impact, reach more people in need, operate as efficiently as possible, and reduce food waste. We appreciate the chance to learn from one another and explore new ways to better serve our communities.

Today on National Donut Day, we’re giving a huge thank you to the incredible crew from Dunkin' (Quinn Management - dba Dunkin') who recently volunteered with the New Hampshire Food Bank! 🍩💙

This amazing team helped inspect and sort 6,289 pounds of food through our Fresh Rescue program — enough to provide 5,240 meals for our neighbors experiencing hunger across New Hampshire.

Through Fresh Rescue, the NH Food Bank partners with grocery stores, wholesalers, and retailers across the state to recover fresh, surplus food that is still safe and nutritious, redirecting it to local families instead of letting it go to waste. MOBILE FOOD PANTRY UPDATE – PLEASE SHARE
The NH Food Bank's regularly scheduled drive-thru mobile food pantry is headed to Conway on Wednesday, June 10. Households will receive an assortment of produce and shelf-stable items. We welcome anyone in need of food assistance to please join us.

☀ Summer is a time for kids to play, explore, and build confidence.

But when school meals pause, many families in New Hampshire lose a dependable source of nutrition.

That’s why NH Food Bank works alongside the Feeding America network to provide meals in several locations where children already gather, helping ensure summer meals continue nourishing kids’ growth and potential.

The NH Food Bank's SUN Meals program is a federally funded, state-administered program which provides kids & teens with access to tasty, nutritious meals during the summer months.

As part of that FREE program, families with children ages 18 & younger can receive (depending on location) freshly prepared meals or meal kit grocery bags.

⚠️Registration may be required or encouraged for select sites and rules apply.

Carroll County registration is required this year and still has spots open. For many Granite Staters, small things make a big difference. Rising food costs continue to stretch household budgets, and support from our network of partner agencies helps fill the gap—sometimes in ways that may seem simple, but are truly meaningful. 🍞🍽️🥦

When you give to the New Hampshire Food Bank, you give to all the clients of the 400+ pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters that we partner with across the state. 60% of the food that our partner agencies serve to individuals experiencing food insecurity comes from the NH Food Bank.

The New Hampshire Food Bank was honored to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening Wonder’s first New Hampshire location at 7 Main Street in Bedford! We’re also incredibly grateful to have been selected as Wonder’s nonprofit partner for New Hampshire.

Wonder brings together over 20 top-tier and celebrity-chef menus, allowing customers to mix and match dishes from a variety of restaurants all in one order. We were especially excited to see menu selections from past Steel Chef Challenge hosts Marcus Samuelsson (Streetbird) and Michael Symon (Yasas)!
