Friends of the District- We need your help!

Our Food and Nutrition Services department has two Ram ProMaster transport vans to help with deliveries to schools from the commissary kitchen. The problem is, they are plain, boring white.

We've challenged our students to design a fun new wrap for the vans, along with a new department slogan.

Students in Mrs. McGee's Business and Marketing Principles CTE class at Manchester School of Technology had their Non-Profit Pitch Competition this week. Judges ("The Investors") from the community listened to each of the four finalists' advocacy pitches and after a Q&A, deliberated on who they would back! In the end, the pitch for Hope NH Recovery took the prize.

Congrats to all of the finalists and thank you to our valuable community partners!

It was an excellent morning to give back to Mother Nature! AP Environmental Science students at Central worked with Arnold Mikolo and the Conservation Law Foundation and Manchester, NH Parks & Recreation to plant two new trees on campus. The project is part of a $2.2 million USDA Urban Forestry grant to plant 500 new trees in the city of Manchester through 2029.

Students learned about the benefits of trees in urban areas including water control and retention, soil erosion prevention, carbon sequestration, shade and beautification.

We're excited to see this Sunspire Magnolia and American Hornbeam grow and thrive for generations to come!
