A special shoutout to Hartford HealthCare's Greg Derosier on being recognized for 36 years of dedicated service with the Ambulance Service of Manchester. From caring for patients to guiding the next generation of EMS professionals, Greg's impact has touched countless lives throughout our region.

Another first for Manchester Memorial Hospital!

We're celebrating a major milestone as the team at Manchester Memorial Hospital successfully performed its first-ever endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) procedure!

Led by Dr. Mark Godfrey and the dedicated surgical team, EBUS is a minimally invasive procedure used to examine and biopsy lymph nodes in the lungs, helping clinicians diagnose and stage lung cancer without the need for more invasive surgery.

For patients, this means greater access to high-quality, specialized lung care closer to home.

Advanced heart care is now even closer to home ❤️

For patients living with heart failure, peace of mind can make all the difference. Recently, Manchester Memorial Hospital implanted its first CardioMEMS device, giving patients and their care teams a simple, powerful way to monitor heart health from home.

This paper clip-sized technology can detect changes before symptoms develop, allowing care teams to step in early, adjust treatment, and help patients avoid unnecessary hospital visits. Most importantly, it helps patients spend less time worrying about their condition and more time living their lives.

A game-changing step forward for heart care in our community and for our patients!

For years, chronic back and leg pain affected nearly every part of Jennifer Michalek's life.

Then she met Dr. Andrew Wakefield.

From her first appointment, Jennifer felt heard, supported and reassured. After surgery at Manchester Memorial Hospital, she experienced something she hadn't felt in a long time: relief.

"I feel really good today. I don't think I'm in any pain."
