This morning, we conducted a tank operations drill to refine our procedures—training like we fight. Our focus was on optimizing tanker operations in scenarios requiring large amounts of water for structure fires. Today’s training involved six departments: Farmington, Clifton Springs, Shortsville Oaks Corner, East Palmyra, and Phelps. Excellent effort by everyone. We were able to sustain a water flow of 1,000gallons a minute. We also tested a new water source and experimented with various approaches to improve our effectiveness. It was a valuable day of training. Thank you to all the members and departments who participated on a Saturday morning.

Today, we pause to remember

Twenty-five years have passed since the tragic events of September 11, 2001. On that day, our nation was forever changed. We remember the 2,977 innocent lives lost, including the 343 members of the FDNY, 23 members of the NYPD, 37 members of the PAPD, 12 members of EMS, and all the other first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice

Their courage, selflessness and unwavering commitment to others will never be forgotten. Today and always, we honor their service, their sacrifice and the families who continue to carry their legacy

From the bottom of our hearts, we say Thank You
