FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MANCHESTER POLICE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATION INTO SHOOTING AT BURGER KING
On Monday, October 19, 2026, Manchester Police Department received an emergency call that a shooting had occurred at the Burger King restaurant located at 56 Expressway Drive. Upon investigation, police located an adult male at this location who had an apparent gunshot wound in his abdomen. He was treated on site and transported to Unity Hospital by emergency personnel for further treatment. His condition is unknown at this time, but, at last update, he is expected to survive his injuries. He was later identified as an employee of Burger King. Initial reports are that an interaction occurred between customers (an adult male and an adult female) and the employee. This interaction escalated to a verbal argument between the male customer and the employee, which led to a physical altercation and the shooting. The customers fled the scene. They were quickly located at the Southern Inn and interviewed on scene. This is an active and ongoing investigation. No charging decisions have been made and identities are accordingly being withheld at this time.
Any further inquiries should be addressed to District Attorney General Craig Northcott, at (931)-723-5055, or [email protected].
