The NH House Progressive Caucus congratulates Christian Urrutia on a bold campaign that consistently brought progressive values and policies to the forefront of the conversation. We thank Christian for the time, energy, and conviction he brought to this race.
Christian was the candidate endorsed by our caucus, and we are proud of the support we were able to give his campaign. We respect his decision to suspend his campaign and wish him all the best as he continues his work in service to New Hampshire and our country.
Following Christian’s announcement, our caucus met to consider whether to make a new endorsement in the CD-1 Democratic primary. Given the short timeframe between Christian’s withdrawal and the primary date, we did not meet the voting threshold required under our bylaws to issue a new endorsement, and therefore the Progressive Caucus will not be making another endorsement in this primary.
Our caucus is united by our commitment to progressive values and to building a New Hampshire where everyone can afford to live, access the care they need, and exercise their rights and freedoms. We look forward to working with the Democratic nominee for CD-1 and with candidates and organizers across the state who share those commitments.
We’re grateful to Christian and to everyone who participated in this process, and we’re ready to keep doing the work.
