Apparel Impact is a family and veteran owned textile recycling and community support company. Apparel Impact focuses on the recycling of textiles and the support of local communities throughout New England. Started in 2013 by the Whitten family, their mission is to keep textiles out of landfills, support local families and children in need and create a sustainable local business that employs local people. Apparel Impact is a highly regarded, family owned recycling company that truly understands the value of giving back and supporting their local communities.

We went on a field trip to Apparel Impact HQ to do some picking for the Project Upcycle design challenge, and we brought along none other than this year's emcee duo. That's right, Aqeel Hisham and Lionel Loveless (Officially Knotted Bowties) will host the Runway Event on October 24 with class, humor, and of course, impeccable style. 👏👏👏

We've built a system to both reduce waste and recover the clothing needed to help.

This is an example of why partnerships are essential for finding effective, long-term solutions; an example of why we believe that your best work can never be done alone.

Solutions start with asking the right questions and finding the right arms to link with. 🤝

We’re proud to partner with the Kiwanis Club of Manchester, NH for their Annual $10K Dinner + Raffle!

Before heading out next Friday, clean out those closets and bring along your unwanted clothing, shoes, accessories and linens. Our Apparel Impact team will be there to collect everything and make sure it’s put to its highest and best use.

A great night supporting a great organization; with a little textile reuse added in. ♻️

Some of our partners host bins, some of them host sheds, but every single drop-off location adds to the tens of thousands of pounds of clothing kept out of landfills every day.

Every piece diverted, every person clothed, every award listed on these sheds; all of it is a team effort. Shout out to our partners; anyone who has ever counted themselves among our almost 1,700 drop-off locations, and anyone who's ever visited one of them.

Thank you for helping us in the fight against clothing waste and insecurity. 🤝
