Wild Things 2026 has been cancelled due to concerns about the weather. Ranger Garrett was scheduled to be there instead of giving his normally scheduled Plants With a Purpose program. It's short notice, we know, but Ranger Garrett would like to invite everyone to join him Saturday morning at 10:00 at the Visitors Center for another edition of Plants With a Purpose.

Check out the new promo poster too!

One place. Four artists. Four ways of seeing it. 🌿

Plein Wild is coming back for year TWO, and this time we’re taking it to Fontainebleau State Park!

LCS is joining Ellen Ogden of Elloartist, Madeline Ellis of Mimosa Handcrafted, and Ashley Ferguson of Roots Floral Preservation for a few days of art inspired by Louisiana's wild landscape.

We each notice something a little different out there, and we each preserve it through our own work. That’s what makes bringing all four of us together so special.

Come wander through it with us October 22–24 at Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville. The park becomes our gallery, and I can’t think of a better place for this work to live. 🤎

Save the date for the 2nd Annual Plein Wild!

[Plein Wild Art Exhibit • Fontainebleau State Park • Mandeville Louisiana Events • Louisiana Artists • South Louisiana Art • Louisiana Nature Art • Northshore Art Events • L Charleville Studios]

Although it is looking like a washout for this weekend, it is Louisiana. Tickets will be available for free at the Entrance Station or the Visitors Center for Overnight Guests ONLY. The hayrides will be this Saturday and next Saturday evenings.

October 17th will be open to all guests to join Ranger Garrett for a night hike on the Nature Trail.

And the last 2 Saturdays will be for Trick-or-Treaters! Both campgrounds will be closed to ALL vehicular traffic from 4:00-6:00 by order of Billy Nungesser Lt. Governor of Louisiana for the safety of our children. Dress up in your favorite costumes and come join us. When you get here, feel free to use the Visitors Center parking lot for your convenience and safety.

Here's to a great October!
