Hilda Lizarazu by Alfi Baldo (photographer and graphic designer, responsible for the cover designs of Clics Modernos, Filosofia barata y zapatos de goma, among others). This photo shoot dates back several years and was used for the cover of the albums “Hilda canta Charly 1” and “Hilda canta Charly 2” where she not only performs covers but also brings a wonderful warmth and power to them. The album was produced by Lito Vitale and is available on music platforms, vinyl, and CD.

Did you know that for the aesthetic of the “Como conseguir chicas” album era, Charly was inspired by the repetitive feminine aesthetic that Robert Palmer used in the music videos for his songs “Addict to Love” “Didn’t Mean To Turn You On”y “Simply Irresistible”?.
He asked costume designer and friend Adriana San Román to replicate the idea.

Directed by fashion photographer Terence Donovan, the videos featured Robert Palmer surrounded by a backing band of pale-skinned models with heavy makeup and identical outfits.Inspired by Patrick Nagel’s pop-art paintings, the aim was for them to look like expressionless, elegant mannequins.

But among Charly's "girls," was present; the others were just "boys"...the male musicians in his band. Charly, once again, was playing with the humor that always characterized him.

Today marks the 36th anniversary of first concert at the Ritz in New York.

Alex Pels, director of the music video for the song “Fanky”—who has lived in Miami for many years—reunited with Charly this weekend in Buenos Aires. El Zorri was also present at the meeting; only Alfi was missing!

In 1983, the head of Richard Hambleton’s Shadowman at the corner of Walker St. & Cortlandt Alley was pierced by an Indian arrow and a pair of insect antennae.

It’s strange to see these elements erased from the original image on the cover of the album “Clics Modernos”... could it be that they were removed during editing by Alfi Baldo, the graphic designer in charge of the cover art? The marks of the erased elements could still be seen in Uberto Sagramoso’s photograph.

What we do know is that the white heart was included by graphic designer Alfi Baldo, and that it was originally going to be red.
