Looking back at a busy summer at the K-State Purebred Beef Unit!

This summer, we welcomed the Southeast Nebraska Cattlemen’s Association for their annual industry tour, where they toured our facilities, heard updates on the unit and cowherd, and got a look at some of our elite donor females and their calves.
We also helped host a Cow-Calf Mineral Management Field Day with Pottawatomie County Extension, sharing updates on grazing nutrition research and free-choice mineral intake research.

We enjoyed having producers and industry partners on the unit this summer and look forward to what’s ahead this fall!

As we prepare the K-State Purebred Beef Unit herd for the 50th Legacy Sale, we’re grateful for the products, expertise and support of our industry partners.
