🍿 Celebrating the Manheim Community Farm Show: Powered by Clean Water! 🚜🐮

There is nothing quite like Farm Show week in Manheim! From livestock exhibits and delicious local food to catching up with neighbors at the Farm Show complex, it is one of our region's proudest traditions.

While you enjoy the sights, farm displays, and snacks, the MAWSA team works quietly behind the scenes, supplying uninterrupted water service to the grounds.

Whether serving homes, businesses, or community traditions, we are honored to support the vital resources that keep our town thriving.

🌾💧 Protecting our local water starts with simple choices at home.

In September, as we wrap up summer yard work and prepare for fall, remember:

🚫 Keep chemicals and waste out of storm drains

🌱 Use fertilizers and lawn products wisely

🛢️ Properly dispose of motor oil, paint, and other household chemicals

Small actions can make a big difference in protecting the water resources our community depends on.

Happy Friday! So we have some Friday morning activity with a water main break along Fuller Drive (far south west side of town). Fuller Drive will be closed from S Penn Street, the entire length and are the corner onto S Cherry Street at Holtz Alley. The repair will take place this morning -- other than traffic inconvenience, it is not expected to impact water service to local customers in any way.

🍅 Canning summer tomatoes, making homemade sauces, or getting an early start on hearty soups? We love September kitchen prep! Just remember to give your kitchen plumbing a little love, too:

❌ Fats, cooking oils, & thick sauces: Let them cool, then scrape them straight into the trash or a tin can! ❌ Garbage disposals: They’re convenient, but grease, cooking oils and food scraps can cause costly clogs.

Keeping grease out of your drain keeps household pipes clear and wastewater flowing smoothly across our entire community! Happy cooking! 👨‍🍳🍲

💧 SEWER FLOW UPDATE — THANK YOU!

We’re happy to report that sewer flows have improved and with no significant precipitation in the forecast, we’re comfortable bringing our recent water conservation request to a close.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped by temporarily reducing water use. Your cooperation made a real difference and helps us manage the unusually high flows caused by the recent heavy rains. As always, we appreciate your patience, understanding, and support. We have you covered — and we’re always working behind the scenes to keep your water and sewer service safe, reliable, and ready for whatever comes next. Thanks for being great MAWSA customers! 💙
