🍪🚨 Calling all cookie lovers: the Penny Rescue Mission has one more hero to thank! 🚨🍪

Meet Kieran McGrath, a real Whisk-taker and owner of Bakery on State, who generously donated fresh-baked cookies for our winning 4th grade class! 🧡 Bakers really are first responders: they show up whenever there’s a craving! 🚑

Thank you, Kieran and the whole Bakery on State team, for supporting our Stangel kids and our PTO. Local businesses like yours make our community a special place to learn, grow, and live. We are grateful for you! 💛

If you’re in Manitowoc, do yourself a favor and get your buns into Bakery on State. You’ll be glad you did (and so will your taste buds)! 😋

PS: the PTO also dropped off some delicious Freezie Pops for the rest of the students! Its time to celebrate all of our team work! Way to go Stangel cadets!!

🚨 BREAKING NEWS from the Penny Rescue Mission! 🚨

For the final day of the Rescue Mission, our first responders showed up and were officially up to mis"chief"... and we are left wondering if its even LEGAL to have THIS MUCH FUN at Stangel Elementary School?! 😂

🚓 Our SRO Kayla made a run for it with the Fire Truck’s cash, while firefighter Tyler from Station 2 is looking pretty "suss" (as the kids say) with the Penny Patrol Boat jar 🚤💨
🚒 Meanwhile, our Assistant Fire Chief Jeremy is “generously” sabotaging the Cop Car jar
🧯 And adding to the chaos, Shane from Station 2 keeps convincing everyone to support the Paramedics, all while leading the WHOLE group in an a ca****la round of Happy Birthday.

Nobody in these photos can be trusted, and we love them for it! (And don't worry our PTO saved the day from these silly shenanigans!).

But seriously: THANK YOU, first responders. You gave our kids a week they’ll remember, and so many teachers told us you added SO MUCH MAGIC for their students. 🧡 We’re grateful for everything you do for our community.

And Stangel community - WOW! Your generosity and participation were incredible, and every class showed up for our PTO. 🙌 Every rescued Centi-zen goes straight back to Stangel kids and families.

🏆 Stay tuned, crews! We will be posting the WINNERS of a delicious sweet snack and a year of bragging rights before the end of the day.

And really, there is a video of the crew singing “Happy Birthday” to a very lucky kiddo in our stories!
