👏 Recognizing Excellence Behind the Scenes!

Please join us in recognizing our Evidence and Property Manager, Mark Rash, for his dedication to the Mansfield Police Department!

Mark recently helped instruct the Intermediate Certification Course at the 2026 Texas Association of Property and Evidence Inventory Technicians (TAPEIT) Annual Conference in San Marcos, Texas.

With 12 years of service to MPD, Mark has earned all three TAPEIT certifications—Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. He has also played an important role in helping MPD achieve Texas Best Practices accreditation and has assisted other agencies with improving evidence management procedures and training.

Much of Mark’s work takes place behind the scenes, but his knowledge and dedication make a lasting impact both within our department and beyond.

Thank you, Mark, for your continued commitment to excellence and for representing Mansfield PD so well! 💙

Stopping for a school bus protects children as they enter and exit the bus. Know when Texas law requires you to stop.

When a school bus stops to load or unload students with its red lights flashing or stop arm extended:

• Two-lane road: Drivers traveling in BOTH directions must stop.
• Multi-lane road, including roads with a center turn lane: Drivers traveling in BOTH directions must stop. A center turn lane does not separate the roadways.
• Divided highway with a physical barrier or unpaved median: Drivers in ALL lanes traveling in the same direction as the bus (including on a frontage road) must stop. Drivers on the opposite roadway may proceed with caution.

Stop before reaching the bus. Remain stopped until the bus resumes moving, the bus driver signals you to proceed, or the bus’s visual signals are turned off. Check carefully for children before moving.

Our officers patrol our community around the clock, but we cannot be everywhere at once. We need our community’s help and every driver’s full attention to keep children safe around school buses. Whether a police officer is present should never determine whether you stop or stay alert around school busses. Even the smallest possibility of striking a child with the vehicle you are operating should be reason enough. Arriving at your destination a moment sooner is never worth risking a child’s life.

Mansfield, this is YOUR SWAT team—and we’d love your help recognizing their hard work!

Select members of the SWAT team competed alongside 43 other teams at the 2026 Texas Tactical Police Officers Association SWAT Competition, earning 9th place in Officer Rescue with zero penalties and finishing 26th overall.

Across nine events, these officers put their training, endurance, and teamwork to the test. Behind every event were teammates relying on one another, pushing through demanding challenges, and representing Mansfield with pride.

What makes us especially proud is that these officers serve on SWAT while also carrying out their primary duties as patrol officers, detectives, and investigators with our Auto Theft Task Force. Alongside answering calls and investigating cases, they commit to the additional training and preparation needed to be ready when our community and fellow officers need them most.

To our team: we see the work you put in, appreciate the dedication it takes, and are proud to have you serving Mansfield. Congratulations on your top-10 event finish, and thank you for everything you bring to this community! 💙

💜 THIS is what a community that cares looks like!

What a beautiful day in Mansfield as our community came together for our First Annual Voices in Motion Walk in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month!

Today was more than a walk. It was a powerful reminder of what happens when a community stands together with compassion, purpose, and a commitment to making a difference.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and to the many organizations and advocates who dedicated their time to providing valuable resources and support for survivors of domestic violence. A special thank you to our wonderful volunteers who generously gave their time to help make today’s event a success!

A strong community isn’t just one that grows together. It’s one that stands together when it matters most. 💜

If you or someone you know has been impacted by domestic violence and needs information about victim advocacy services or available resources, please contact the Mansfield Police Department’s Community Resource Division at 817-804-5700.

Thank you, Mansfield, for showing up, raising awareness, and reminding us what makes our community so remarkable!
