**Construction Update - Lexington-Springmill Roundabout**

We are nearing the completion of the roundabout at the intersection of Lexington-Springmill Road and Home Road. The tentative OPENING DATES are as follows (approximately 2 weeks behind the originally scheduled opening dates):

Richland B&O Trail - Friday, October 23

Lexington-Springmill Rd/Home Rd Intersection - Friday, October 30

These are approximate dates and are weather dependent. A separate notice will be sent out when the Bike Trail and roadway are officially open.

2 years ago today we lost Trenton in a tragic work zone accident. His family, friends, and co-workers have been left with an empty spot that his humor, hard work, and all-out attitude used to fill. Please pay attention when behind the wheel, slow down and move over for those working on or along our roadways. Let's all do our part to make sure our first responders, highway workers, and tow truck operators all make it home safely!

**Upcoming County Road Construction**

Asphalt resurfacing will begin Monday, October 5 and will continue for approximately two (2) weeks, weather permitting. Roads included in this year's project are Middle Bellville Rd (between Hanley Rd West and Orchard Park Rd) and Rhinehart Rd (between St Rt 97 and Possum Run Rd). Traffic will be maintained with flaggers, but motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use an alternate route, if possible.

**ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE**

Lucas-Perrysville Road, between St Rt 39 and Dickes Road in the Village of Lucas/Monroe Township, will be CLOSED starting Monday, October 5, and will remain closed thru Thursday, October 8. The closure will allow for a culvert replacement.

**Township Road Closure**

Laver Road, between St Rt 430 and Satinwood Dr in Mifflin Township, will be CLOSED starting Wednesday, September 9 and will remain closed for three (3) weeks, weather permitting. The signed detour will utilize Evergreen Avenue and Woodcrest Drive.

The road closure will allow for a Township project to replace 3 culverts and resurface Laver Road.

The contractor for this year's chip and seal resurfacing will begin work tomorrow (9/1/26). This week's schedule includes Dininger Rd (9/1), Taylortown Rd (9/1 and 9/2), Myers Rd (9/2 and 9/3), Springmill West Rd (9/3 and 9/4), and Horning Rd (9/4). The schedule is dependent on the weather. Motorists should expect delays during construction and may want to use an alternate route, if possible.

**Upcoming County Road Closure**

Rock Road, between Stiving Rd and Stein Rd in Jackson Township, will be CLOSED between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm on Monday (8/31/26) and Tuesday (9/1/26). The closure will allow for soil borings for a future bridge replacement project.

Rhinehart Road, between Rule Rd and Dill Rd in Jefferson Township, will be CLOSED on Monday, August 24 and will remain closed for four (4) days, weather permitting.

The WESTBOUND lane of Cook Road East, between Mansfield-Washington Rd and Mansfield-Lucas Rd in Madison Township, will be CLOSED on Monday, August 24, between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. The closure will allow for a pavement repair project.

Detoured traffic should use Mansfield-Lucas Rd to Mansfield-Washington Rd, back to Cook Road East.

Rhinehart Road, between St Rt 97 and Appleseed Rd in Jefferson Township, will be CLOSED starting Wednesday, July 15 at 7:30 am, and will reopen on Thursday, July 16 at 4:00 pm. The closure will allow for a culvert replacement.
