We're not exactly sure what The Warden is saying right here, BUT if we had to guess, we'd say it's something like:

"I TOLD YOU the Guards would win the Guards v. Inmates Challenge presented by Richland Public Health in 2026!"

OR

"The 13th Annual Shawshank Hustle will be held on August 14, 2027 and Registration opens on October 1, 2026!"

Knowing him...he likely figured out how to fit both of those into his address to the prisoners today because they are both TRUE. Early Registration and BEST pricing opens on Thursday, October 1 at 11:00am so set your alarms and prepare to secure your spot.

We've got something really special to unveil in 2027, and as usual, you won't want to miss it!

Congratulations to TEAM GUARDS on their narrow victory over the Inmates in the 2026 Guards v. Inmates Challenge Presented by Richland Public Health! That now makes the score 5-4 with the Inmates still holding a slight lead over the Guards, but it certainly makes next year's Hustle a little more interesting!

Guards or Inmates...Who Won?!

Coming into the 2026 Hustle, The Inmates held a commanding 5-3 lead in the Guards v. Inmates Challenge presented by Richland Public Health. Another win by the Inmates could present the opportunity for a RIOT, but if the Guards could pull off an unprobeable win, that would create an epic matchup in 2027 where the Guards could finally pull back to even!

The Final Score was CLOSE! 238-221 means that just 17 Hustlers made the difference...but which team had 238 runners beat The Warden? Find out THIS FRIDAY at 5:30pm on this site during our Facebook LIVE event. We'll announce the winning team and pull 10 names at random from that team to win a FREE pair of SKECHERS Aero Spark shoes courtesy of Second Sole Ohio and SKECHERS!

Yesterday was perfect. 🤩

I say it every year, but it is a true honor to be your race directors. Thank you for being the best race participants and bringing the energy! We know you have many races to choose from and whether you were a “fresh fish”, a lifer, or somewhere in between - we appreciate you!
