Please help us welcome Breanna DeHaan, who was sworn in yesterday afternoon as the newest Manteno Police Officer.

Officer DeHaan comes to us as a lateral police hire, having spent two years as an officer with the Dixon Police Department. While with Dixon PD, Officer DeHaan earned many advanced policing certificates beyond the minimum state requirements. In addition, this past April, Officer DeHaan earned a life saving award from her former department.

Officer DeHaan is originally from Oregon, Illinois. She comes from a law enforcement family, with a father who is a retired police chief, and a mother who is a police dispatcher.

After graduating Oregon High School, Officer DeHaan attended Aurora University, earning her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. She is currently working towards her masters degree in social work.

We are very excited to have an experienced and decorated officer join our ranks!

Welcome, Breanna … we have no doubt you will be a credit to our department and our Village!

Happy Dolly Parton Day!

We thought we would start Dolly Parton Day off by doing a few things she was known for: putting on big hair, and having a laugh at ourselves!

To honor her legacy, we hope everyone will be a little more like Dolly: be kind, be generous, be authentic, be confident, be resilient, and don’t take yourself too seriously!

Have a great Dolly Parton Day, and maybe we’ll even see some Dolly wigs down at Oktoberfest today! 🤞🏼

We had a GREAT time at DQ last night for our first ever Cone with a Cop. The event was a huge success, despite the chilly weather.

Thank you to all of you who stopped by to say hi. And a very big thank you to the management and staff of DQ for hosting us and providing SO many free ice cream cones to everyone who came!

Often on our lost dogs post we see comments offering up a home if the owner is not found! Well, here's a golden opportunity for a new family member! Cookie (brown, female dog approximately 1 year old) and Stitch (male, brown and white, approximately 2.5 years old) will be at the Manteno Market until 6! Then some of their friends will be there to meet people! Make sure to say hi at the market tonight.
