WEEKEND WEATHER & ROAD SAFETY REMINDER

Maple Shade is looking at a breezy and increasingly wet weekend, so we wanted to give everyone a quick heads-up before making weekend plans.

Winds are expected to increase Saturday, with gusts potentially reaching around 30 MPH, along with periods of rain Saturday and Sunday.

If you’re heading out this weekend:

-Slow down and allow extra stopping distance on wet roads.
-Turn on your headlights when using your windshield wipers.
-Be alert for fallen branches, leaves, and other debris in the roadway.
-Use extra caution in areas exposed to stronger wind gusts.
-Never drive through flooded roadways or around barricades.
-Give yourself some extra time and stay off the phone while driving.

Please secure any lightweight outdoor decorations, furniture, trash cans, or other items that could blow into the roadway.

As always, if you encounter a hazardous roadway condition in Maple Shade, please report it so it can be addressed.

Stay safe, Maple Shade!

INVESTING IN OUR GREATEST ASSET — OUR PEOPLE
At the Maple Shade Police Department, we believe our greatest asset isn’t our equipment, vehicles, or facilities, it’s our employees.
Supporting our officers means more than providing the training and equipment they need to do their jobs. It also means investing in their well-being and helping them prepare for life beyond their shift.

That’s why our department and Maple Shade PBA Local 267 are partnering with The Drozdowski Group / The Millionaire Cop to provide our officers with financial wellness education and resources specifically designed for members of the law enforcement profession.

Financial decisions can have a lasting impact on an officer and their family. This program is designed to provide our employees with practical knowledge and tools to help them better understand their finances, make informed decisions, reduce financial stress, and plan for their financial future.

Our goal is simple: take care of the people who take care of our community.

We invest in our officers because they are our greatest asset — and that investment doesn’t stop when the shift ends.
Stronger Officers. Stronger Families. Stronger Department.

Welcome, Maple Shade PD.

Leadership just made New Jersey’s first move: financial wellness for their officers — not a flyer, a program.

That’s how it starts in a state. One shop that treats money stress like readiness. Debt. OT. The 457. A household that can breathe.

Thank you to Maple Shade command for going first. The rest of New Jersey has a model now.

Stronger officers. Stronger families. Stronger departments.

This past Saturday, our officers were out at the annual Sidewalk Sale helping to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for everyone who came out to support our local businesses and community.

Events like these involve more than what you see on the street. Prior to and throughout the event, the Maple Shade Police Department utilized a coordinated operational plan that combined officers on the ground with available technology to enhance situational awareness and provide comprehensive security throughout the event area.

Our goal is simple: be prepared, stay connected, and create an environment where residents, visitors, vendors, and businesses can enjoy community events safely.

We appreciate everyone who came out, said hello to our officers, supported our local businesses, and helped make this year’s Sidewalk Sale a success.
