You Asked: What Happened if someone relapses? A relapse does not mean you are out - it does mean something has to change. We handle it case by case, with honesty and a clear plan, because the goal is keeping men sober and building off the success they have achieved.
What we won't do is let one man's use put the whole house community at risk.

You Asked: Can I work while at WHO?
Yes - and we require it. Once you are at a WHO house, work is part of the deal. Rebuilding a
life means having something to get up for and work is the foundation in establishing a new
routine.
WHO will work with your schedule, not against it.

Morning Routine
Want to stay sober? Start with your mornings. The men who make it here tend to have one thing in common; a routine they don't negotiate with. Up at the same time every day.
Make your bed (yes, really)
10 mins for your head: pray, read, meditate, gratitude list. Show up to what you committed to. Discipline in the small things builds the strength for the big one.
At a WHO house our standards support your morning routine. Contact us today: www.wheelerhousingopp.org

Cravings -
3 ways to get through a craving without picking up:
1. Ride the Wave - a craving peaks and passes - usually in 15-20 mins. Set a timer and outlast it.
2. Call your brother - not tomorrow, NOW! Say it out loud to someone who gets it.
3. Change your surroundings. Get up, walk, get out of the room the urge showed up in.
Recovery isn't about never wanting to use. It's about knowing what to do when you do.

What gets you through? A WHO house with community can. Apply online today. www.wheelerhousingopp.org

Labor Day weekend is built for backyard beers and all-day parties. For a man in recovery, that makes it one of the tough weekends of the year. Here's the truth: you can get through it — but not by accident. Make a plan before the weekend starts. Know which cookouts to skip. Keep your people on speed dial. Have an exit ready and use it without apology. Nobody white-knuckles it alone at WHO. This weekend we've got each other — sober, showing up, and stronger for it. If the long weekend has you struggling, reach out. That's what we're here for.
