On May 29, 2026, the Maplewood Police Department responded to multiple vehicle burglaries in the Ward 2 area of the city, including Bellevue, Bruno, Alameda, Lyndover, and Yale. The incidents occurred between approximately 2:50 a.m. and 3:15 a.m.
City of Maplewood Public Safety Cameras, along with Flock Safety cameras, helped identify a suspect vehicle linked to these incidents. The vehicle had previously been reported stolen from another jurisdiction and has been linked to multiple crimes throughout the region. It was occupied by at least four individuals, one of whom was observed to be armed with a firearm.
Residents are strongly reminded not to leave any valuables in their vehicles.
For your safety:
• Do not confront individuals suspected of committing vehicle burglaries.
• If you observe suspicious activity or a vehicle burglary in progress, call 911 immediately.
Detectives are actively working with surrounding jurisdictions to identify the individuals involved. Anyone with additional information or relevant video footage is encouraged to contact the Maplewood Police Department Detective Bureau at 314-646-3617.

This morning we participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Missouri. We accepted the torch from Shrewsbury PD and Webster Groves PD near Deer Creek Plaza. We would like to thank Kirkwood Missouri Police Department for continuing to join us for this great cause.
Additionally, thank you to all of the drivers in the area for their patience while we support this great cause.

School Resource Officer Smith has important information for those attending MRH’s Commencement tonight at 7pm. Parking will be limited in certain areas so please arrive early and pay close attention to pedestrian traffic in the area.

Yesterday, members of the Maplewood Police Department participated in a softball tournament hosted by Brentwood Missouri Police Department.
After a morning of rain and storms, we brought the trophy home to Maplewood by winning multiple games.

We are currently investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian in the 7300 block of Manchester Road. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Both directions of the roadway will be closed for an extended period of time. Please avoid the area and use an alternate route.
