What are the odds? When shelving books, staff noticed that the labels of these two books that belong next to eachother read "best friend," and the books just happen to be about our very best friends- dogs! 🐶 What little coincidences have made you smile lately?
Image descriptions: 1) books lined up on a shelf, the two in focus have labels that read "best" and "friend." 2) Cover images of the books The Best Dog in the World and Dog Only Knows.

ICYMI: our 2026 Summer Challenge begins today! Plant a Seed, Read is rooted in the concept of farm to table. A farm grows food that nourishes our bodies; a library grows ideas that nourish our minds. Both food and stories connect us to our family, culture, economy, and ecology. We hope you'll join us in reading, learning, and growing!
