Marble Charter School A Small School With a Big Heart! ❤️ Public K-8 Charter School offering Personalized Education and year-round Outdoor Education in Marble, Colorado.

Marble Charter School is a public K-8 charter school that offers students opportunities to create, prepare and present projects and performances that demonstrate their learning. While MCS does not subscribe to any one particular model of instructional practice, we believe that students should be “doing” and the teachers should be “coaching.” We offer experiences in the outdoors, in the laboratory, and use our classrooms as workspace. In past years, students have created sustainable environments out of Legos, wrote and performed an original musical based on folk tales, and learned about geology while touring Arches National Park. As often as possible, the teachers use instructional techniques developed by Expeditionary Learning, a constructivist model that encourages inquiry and critical thinking. We open our school to anyone interested in learning more about us.

School takes up a big part of childhood, and the environment in which your child spends those years matters.

That’s a big part of why families love Marble Charter School. ❤️

They love that teachers know their children as individuals and understand how they learn, where they need support, and when they are ready for more.

They love that strong academics are paired with year-round outdoor education, hands-on learning, stewardship, and opportunities to build confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

Students spend time outside, build friendships across grade levels, learn how to speak up for themselves, connect with adults, contribute to their community, and grow without phones and screens dominating the school day.

For many families, that combination is what makes MCS feel different. Their child is supported academically while also having space to explore, participate, take on challenges, and grow into who they are.

If that sounds like the kind of school experience you want for your child, come visit Marble Charter School. Meet our teachers, tour the classrooms, and see why families love learning and growing in Marble, Colorado.

There are kids right here in our valley getting a school experience built around who they are, with personalized education, year-round outdoor learning, and plenty of room to keep being a kid.

For students at Marble Charter School, that can look like studying the river by collecting samples directly from it, cross-country skiing as part of weekly outdoor education, building friendships across grade levels, or gaining the confidence to speak up and take an active role in their community.

That’s everyday life here at MCS. ❤️

Located in Marble, Colorado, we’re a small K-8 public charter school where academics, hands-on learning, outdoor education, stewardship, and community all shape how our students learn.

Our small size means your child’s teachers understand how they learn, where they need support, and when they are ready for more. That close-knit environment means your child is surrounded by adults who know them well, care about their growth, and are invested in helping them succeed both in and beyond the classroom.

If you’re curious about Marble Charter School, come see it for yourself. Meet our teachers, visit the classrooms, and get a feel for what this kind of education could offer your child.

We’d love to welcome your family to MCS.
