🚨Traffic Update🚨

Westbound SR-2 at SR-269 will be closed for overhead bridge repairs, including girder heat-straightening, beginning Monday, October 5, at 7:00 p.m. The closure is expected to remain in place until Friday, October 9, around 6:00 a.m., weather permitting.

All Westbound SR-2 traffic will be required to exit at Exit 125A-B, the northbound SR-269 interchange. Drivers should use northbound SR-269 through the nearby roundabout, then take the SR-269 southbound to westbound SR-2 ramp on the opposite side of the bridge to re-enter SR-2 westbound.

The eastbound SR-2 to northbound SR-269 ramp (ramp only) will also be closed during this period, eastbound SR-2 thru traffic permitted. The detour is eastbound SR-2 to northbound SR-53, eastbound SR-163, and then southbound SR-269.

These closures and detours are needed to allow crews to complete the bridge repairs safely.

🚨TRAFFIC ALERT🚨

The intersection of E. Harbor Rd. And S. Lightner Rd. Is closed due to a traffic crash. Live Power lines are in the roadway. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes.

UPDATE:
1 person was transported with minor injuries.

Ohio Edison is on scene attempting to restore power to the area. Ohio Edison has advised an approximate restoration of 10:30 A.M.

🚨 ROMANCE SCAM ALERT 🚨
Love should never come with a request for money.

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office is reminding Ohioans to be alert for romance scams, where criminals create fake online identities and build emotional relationships with victims in order to gain their trust—and eventually their money.

💔 Scammers may:

-Claim to be in love with you very quickly.

-Say they are working or serving overseas and cannot meet in person.

-Create an emergency or financial hardship requiring immediate help.

-Ask for gift cards, wire transfers, cryptocurrency, or other forms of payment.

If you or someone you know is experiencing something similar to this, call Danbury Township Police Department to file a police a report.

School is back in session, and that means more children, school buses, and busy roads in our communities. Let’s all do our part to help keep our students safe!

🛑 When you see a school bus with flashing red lights:

Stop and remain stopped until the bus has resumed motion or the lights are no longer flashing.
Never pass a stopped school bus from either direction when required to stop.
Be especially alert around bus stops and school zones.
Watch carefully for children who may be crossing the road or walking near traffic.
🚌 For students riding the bus:
Stay seated and keep the aisles clear.
Follow the bus driver's instructions.
Keep hands, arms, and belongings inside the bus.
When getting off, move away from the bus and wait for the driver’s signal before crossing the road.
Remember: A few extra seconds of patience can save a life. ❤️
