We’re excited to offer the SAT to our juniors and seniors as they prepare for their next steps after high school!

The test will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, in the Marfa ISD Library, with Ms. Baker and our proctors.

Good luck to our Shorthorns—you’ve got this!

Congratulations to our newest National Honor Society members: Seth Nunez, Adeline Marquez, Mikayla Bentley, Austin McGary, and Liliana Zubia!

Being selected for NHS is an accomplishment to be proud of. Members are recognized for scholarship, leadership, service, and character—and are expected to keep showing those qualities in their school and community.

We’re proud of each of you and excited to see the difference you’ll make as Shorthorns.

🏞️ Adventure awaits our 4th graders!

Mrs. Susan Flusche’s class received their National Park passes during an informative presentation and engaging visit with a park ranger from the Fort Davis National Historic Site.

What a wonderful way to connect classroom learning with the history and beauty of our national parks!

We hope these passes inspire many exciting adventures and discoveries! 💜🦬

🎨 A little color, creativity, and design! 🎨

Ms. Powers’s art students explored paper marbling as part of their design unit. Students experimented with colors and patterns to create their own one-of-a-kind designs. We love seeing their creativity come to life!

📚 History Fair excitement is building! 📚

Our 7th graders visited the Museum of the Big Bend to learn about the rich history of our region. As they explore local stories and brainstorm project ideas, students are getting ready to compete in the Regional History Fair this February.

We can’t wait to see what topics they choose to bring to life! 🏛️

🫧 Freshman Science in Action! 🫧

Mrs. Donaldson’s freshman class explored membrane permeability, transport proteins, and surface tension through a hands-on bubble lab. They also put their bubble-making skills to the test in a friendly contest to see who could create the largest bubble!

Learning science can be a lot of fun! 🧪
