Throw back Thursday....Almost 14 years ago this week.
The Margate Fire Department Junkyard Dogs have a long tradition of excellence, fellowship, and championship pedigree. After a long 10 year lay off the new team has started to work on getting right back to where the old team left off.

Join the Margate Fire Department Junkyard Dogs today as we take a moment to remember and honor the 17 fallen angels of 2/14/18. Several of our extrication team members where some of the first to respond to the school on that tragic day.

The boys are getting ready to face the world one practice at a time.The NAVRA National Champs are putting in the reps and the long hours in the classroom and at the junkyard to represent the United States in October.

Several members of the Junkyard Dogs Extrication Team completed the Miami Marathon yesterday in an effort to raise awareness for first responder mental health. These guys are putting in the miles on the road and the reps at the junkyard this week! We couldn’t be prouder of them.

This month the National Champions MFD Junkyard Dogs Extrication Team has been back in the “lab” and working on several new techniques for the upcoming season. The team is gearing up with , , and using only the best equipment in the rescue industry. It’s all about getting in the reps leading up to the 2020 Extrication Challenge in October. We are looking forward to another year of continued growth and chemistry, as our team members enter their second year of competition.

The National Champion Junkyard Dogs were recognized this week by the @ City of Margate Mayor and Commission for all of their 2019 accomplishments. The team has already shifted their focus and begun to prepare for the World Rescue Challenge in October 2020.

All of our hard work and dedication has paid off!! The NAVRA National Extrication Challenge results for the City of Margate Fire Department Junkyard Dogs Extrication Team are as follows:

3rd place overall on Medical....2nd overall place on Technical....1st place overall for Incident Commander....2nd place overall Limited....1st place overall Unlimited......and YOUR 2019 NAVRA NATIONAL USA CHAMPIONS. We have now qualified for the World Rescue Challenge in 2020 to be held in our own backyard in Miami, Fl. Congratulations to the Miami Dade Fire Rescue Black Hearts and the Palm Beach County Punishers for also qualifying.

THE Junkyard Dogs are up bright and early again today for day two of the National Extrication Challenge 🇺🇸 .We will be starting our Limited scenario EST today, make sure that you are logged on here and watch us go live on Facebook.
