Marianna Fire Department

Marianna Fire Rescue responded to a working structure fire at 6:25AM on Saturday during shift change. Our thoughts are with all those affected by this incident.

Every emergency represents more than a call for service. It represents people, families, and a community that matters. We are honored to serve and stand alongside our citizens at all times.

Marianna Fire would love to thank State Farm for their partnership and continued support of fire prevention week.

This week, we want to say a special thank you to Chief Michael Hall and the Marianna Fire Department for all they do to inform our community about fire safety and help keep our families safe.

We’re incredibly thankful for the partnership between Keith Williams State Farm and our local fire departments and for the opportunity to work together to make our community a safer place.

Most importantly, we are grateful for the men and women who serve. The time, commitment, and sacrifices you and your families make do not go unnoticed. Thank you for answering the call and for taking care of our community every single day! ❤️🚒

Use the cord and charger that came with your device or one approved by the manufacturer. Using the wrong charger can damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.

Charge on a hard, flat surface like a table, desk, or floor. Beds, couches, and pillows can trap heat and block airflow, which can cause a battery to overheat.

When charging on a plane, keep portable charging devices on the tray table. Do not charge devices in overhead compartments and never charge e-cigarettes or vapes on a plane. If a battery overheats or fails, it is important for the flight crew to be able to respond quickly.

Unplug your device when it is fully charged. Leaving it plugged in longer than needed can increase heat and stress on the battery.

Thank you, JACOLA, for having Rescue and us visit today. We really enjoyed the children.

Stop using your device right away if the battery smells strange, is warm to the touch, makes popping noises, changes in shape or color, or if you see smoke. If it is safe, move the device away from anything that can catch fire. A damaged battery can overheat and start a fire.
