Retired 4-star General Robert Brown played high school basketball for my father. They've stayed in touch for the past 50+ years.

This November 1st, General Brown will be the keynote speaker at the Washington County Veterans Hall of Fame event.

This is a free event open to the public. We hope you'll consider joining us!

Marietta College President Kathleen Dougherty stunned the capacity crowd this afternoon when, as part of her State of the College address, she announced a $55 million gift from Joe and Linda Chlapaty to the institution.

The gift will fund construction of a new graduate health sciences facility, as well as extensive renovations to several residence halls. Congratulations to President Dougherty, the MC board, faculty, staff, and students.

Marietta is blessed to have a large number of active, energetic, and caring citizens and business owners who make our city one of the most vibrant in the region.

I was honored to address a standing room only crowd this evening at the Adelphia for the Marietta Main Street annual gathering.

This remarkable group of dedicated folks coordinates so much of what happens in our downtown community. In an era when many river communities are struggling, Marietta Main Street has ensured we'll be a destination city for years to come. Thank you for all you do!!
