Yesterday, the Georgia Department of Defense said farewell to Jeff Freeman after serving over 40 years with us. He retired from the GA National Guard as a Lt. Col before serving as a federal employee.

We wish you all the best in your next chapter of life, and thank you once more for all you have done for us both in and out of uniform.

Today, students from B.E.S.T Academy volunteered to help freshen up the grounds over by the Freedom Calls Memorial Wall here at Joint Force Headquarters! Some of the students were even recognized and coined by Brig. Gen. Jason Fryman.

This week, Georgia is hosting the annual Multi-Systems Transformation Advisory Group (MSTAG) workshop at the Clay National Guard Center in Marietta. More than 100 human resources technicians, specialists, and branch chiefs from across the nation have gathered to review critical personnel systems like IPPS-A, DEERS, and iPERMS. Participants will discuss system capabilities and limitations, delivering direct feedback to the National Guard Bureau's top personnel officer to improve Soldier readiness.
