Georgia National Guard Transition/ Retirement Brief

First Quarter FY21 Transitions Seminar.
The First Quarter Transitions Seminar will be held Saturday, 07 NOV 2020, 0900 hours, at 48th IBCT Headquarters, 1030 Shurling Drive, Macon, Georgia 31211. M-Day Soldiers with 14 years or more of qualifying service for retirement who have not attended one of these quarterly events, or are approaching retirement and have not attended in the past 2 years, are encouraged to attend this event and encouraged to bring their spouses. It will provide them with information about retirement benefits, give them an opportunity to speak directly with subject matter experts, and help them begin the process of planning for retirement. Amid COVID-19 we are canceling the Career planning and Retirement course for the upcoming dates of

April 15th and 16th, 0800hrs - 1600hrs, Garden City GA, ADC

Performance Management Course (Supervisor):

April 21st and 24th, 0800hrs - 1600hrs, Garden City GA, ADC.

* We are STILL servicing AGR soldier members via EMAIL and PHONE *

RETIREMENT/TRANSITION

During the COVID-19 outbreak HRO TRANSITIONS team will conduct Retirement/Resignation briefings telephonically in order to limit the amount of exposure to themselves and the service members.

-Service members already scheduled are being called to inform them of the change

-New appointment are being informed that all briefings will be conducted telephonically

-Digital signature are to be used to sign all documents that are digitally enabled

-Service members are directed to call their Active Duty Transition Center prior to reporting for appointments ( medical, retirement, soldiers for life, etc...) for any travel restrictions or schedule changes due to the COVID-19

NEW HIRE INPROCESSING

During the COVID-19 outbreak HRO Action team will conduct AGR In-processing briefings telephonically in order to limit the amount of exposure to themselves and the service members.

-Service members already scheduled are being called to inform them of the change

-New appointment are being informed that all briefings will be conducted telephonically
