This weekend, the Georgia Army National Guard Officer Candidate School Class 64 trained hard at Fort McClellan, Alabama, sharpening their tactical squad movement skills in preparation for Phase III this July.

Despite heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, these future leaders stayed focused and resilient — a true testament to their commitment and grit.

Phase 1 is almost in the books! Officer candidates from Class 63 are scheduled to begin Phase 2 (traditional) next month. Their journey began during Pre-OCS 3 months ago, and will end August 2024. Big thanks to Alabama Military Academy for a great phase 1!

Big thanks to Mr. Hitt for visiting with Class 62 and 63 and discussing GMI history with the candidates. So much history still left to uncover, but Mr. Hitt and MAJ Carraway are working diligently to set the story straight.

ANNOUNCEMENT!
GMI is in the process of creating an official GMI Alumni Association in partnership with the OSC Alumni Association located at Ft. Benning. As we move forward with this process, the GMIOCSAA will become one of their National Guard OCS chapters across the nation. With that, we will have a representative take part in our commissioning ceremony this year. Additionally, a GMIOCSAA Hall of Fame is also in the works with the goal of having our inaugural inductees take part in our commissioning ceremony as well. We would like to extend nominations to not only GMI Alumni but GMI cadre as well. Please be on the lookout for the nomination form going live within the month!
