Big things are growing at the Cobb County Extension Office!
Our wonderful Cobb County Master Gardeners rolled up their sleeves this week for a different kind of garden prep, painting vibrant, colorful stepping stones for The Living Classroom Garden!
This new space is being designed as an educational demonstration garden, where community members of all ages can come to learn about sustainable gardening, native plants, and hands-on horticulture. These beautiful, hand-painted stones will help guide visitors through the garden.
We are so proud of their hard work, creativity, and dedication to making this educational space come to life!
Take a look at some of the behind-the-scenes magic below.

We had a wonderful workday this morning at the Wellness Garden! It was a busy two hours, but we accomplished a lot.
A huge welcome to the two community members who joined our crew today! We love seeing new faces get a little dirty.
We harvested fresh strawberries and peas. That was the best strawberry I've ever eaten. One of the perks of helping harvest.
We even had a surprise visit from Jim Bearden, our local bluebird expert and Master Gardener, who stopped by to check on the birdhouses. It’s a great reminder that our garden supports more than just the community it’s a home for our local wildlife, too.
Everything we grow here is headed to local Cobb County food pantries. Thanks to everyone who helped us grow for our neighbors today! If you couldn't make it today we will be back at it next Monday.

Becki may be a recent graduate of the Cobb Master Gardener program, but she is already putting that knowledge to incredible use! Her garden is a total master class in color and texture. It’s so stunning that even the local wildlife can’t seem to take their eyes off it. Great work, Becki!
You too can see Becki's garden on May 9th at the 23rd Annual Garden Tour hosted by the Master Gardener Volunteers of Cobb County.
