Next up: Miss Didion, who is a spitting image of her mom! We loved connecting with all the adults in our building families 🫶🏼

I must say, I appreciate how willing everyone was to share their phones with me during this activity 🤣🙃

Just like when we call home for our students, not every call was answered. Miss Foss’ parents might be retired but they are busy folks! Luckily we were able to leave a message for her dad and her mom called back later to make sure everything was all good! 🤣

Miss Foss was awful nervous for that call home, no idea why, she goes above and beyond every day for our kids and we are so happy she picks Kendall!

Did you think we forgot? Don’t worry, we didn’t. We just slept in a little bit today!

Another day, another call! Mrs. Ridgeway was VERY concerned with how her husband, Jeremy, would answer her/our call! 🤣😊🙃

We love how the students just keep working, ignoring our shenanigans for the most part!

Another day, another call home…for our teachers!!

We can’t tell you how much fun we had with these…but some of the significant others were awfully concerned about a midday phone call 🙃🤣

We hope everyone is still sleeping this morning but we wanted to share some more positive phone calls home for our teachers.

Enjoy fall break!

There is something special about meeting the person behind the pages of a book!

Our Kendall students had the exciting opportunity to welcome author, Amiyah Davis, current 6th grader at Justice Intermediate School and former Kendall Giant!

Experiences like this go beyond the classroom. They help students make real-world connections to what they are learning, inspire creativity, and show our students that the authors of the books they read are real people with stories to tell!

At Kendall, we want our students to see themselves as readers, writers, and future authors! Opportunities like this help bring that possibility to life.

Each classroom received a signed copy of her book to keep in their classroom library!

We had a lot of fun making calls today 🫣🙃😊

It was easy to do with so many great humans working hard for our kids every single day.

Here’s another one, and I promise there’s more.

We often talk about the importance of making positive phone calls home for students, but what about our teachers?

At Kendall Elementary, we know that behind every successful classroom is a teacher who works incredibly hard to make a difference every single day!

Today, we flipped the script and made a positive phone call home to a teacher’s family to share just how proud we are of the work they are doing!

Our teachers spend their days celebrating students, encouraging growth, and making sure every child feels valued. Sometimes they deserve to have someone brag about THEM, too!

We will have more coming soon 🫶🏼

We are in need of candy donations for our Family Night on Wednesday, Oct 28th. If you own a local business, work for a local business, or know a local business that would be willing to support this, please reach out to us ASAP. We would be happy to show love to your business via our page and have a sign at the event with your business name on it for all the support! Thanks for everything you do!
