Marion Downtown Our goal is to advance, encourage and sustain new and established businesses, and to create a vibrant downtown experience for the community and visitors.

Marion Downtown Revitalization Association, Inc. (better known as Marion Downtown!) is a 501(c)3 non-profit public/private partnership with the Town of Marion, VA. A certified Virginia Main Street community since 1995, the purpose of Marion Downtown is to spearhead the revitalization efforts for the commercial historic district of Marion. As a volunteer-driven organization, Marion Downtown operates from the National Main Street's Four-Point Approach, Promotion, Design, Economic Restructuring and Organization. Today, downtown Marion is a thriving community full of service, retail and restaurant businesses. With over 180 businesses downtown, the overall focus is to create a vibrant place to work, live, play and enjoy. We're YOUR heart in the home of the heartlands, we're America's coolest hometown.

The Town of Marion and the Chamber of Smyth County welcomes TWO more new businesses this week - The Rustic Pug Antiques and Collectibles AND Hiking Upward Antiques, both in the heart of Marion's historic downtown!

The Rustic Pub, owned and operated by Erin Curry, features a storeful of booths with a variety of offerings from antiques to candies and so much more! Open Monday through Saturday 106, Sundays 11-5 at 212 East Main Street, next to the former Sisters Cafe.

Hiking Upward Antiques, owned by David Mitchell and Sarah Witherspoon, features over 100 vendor booths, with antiques, vintage clothing, local crafter and more! Open Monday through Friday 106, Saturdays 9-5, and Sundays 1-5, and after hours for events at the Lincoln. Find them on Facebook at Hiking Upward Antiques, and in person at 131 East Main, next to the Smyth County Museum.

Owner Ralph Norris is a fixture at his flagship store in Damascus, and is now bringing his ever-changing inventory to America’s Coolest Hometown at 228 East Main, next to Yummy Yummy, in downtown Marion, Virginia.
