It is with immense sadness that we report the passing this evening of MPD K9 Quill after an illness. Quill courageously worked until very near the end and passed with dignity, surrounded by his handler, Officer Max Stefanatos, his fellow K9 handlers with MPD and other agencies, and the wonderful staff at Comfort Veterinary Hospital.
Quill was a loyal, fearless partner and he will be missed badly. Please join the MPD family in offering condolences to Off. Max Stefanatos and Quill's and Max's family as they mourn this K9 hero's passing. Rest easy, Quill.
