So happy to be sending one of ours out into the aquatics world!
Congratulations and best wishes to Darcy….who also just got engaged to Dirk Smalls another Tabor graduate and one of our great lifeguards!

🌊 Welcome our new Aquatics Director, Darcy Gillen! 💙

We’re excited to have Darcy join the Newton YMCA team! With 8 years of experience in aquatics as both a lifeguard and aquatics manager, she brings a passion for water safety, leadership, and creating positive experiences for everyone who walks through our doors. 🏊‍♂️

Darcy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Coaching and Master’s degree in Sports Management and Business from Tabor College. She is excited to continue growing in the aquatics field and is looking forward to using her experience and leadership to strengthen our aquatics programs and serve our community.

“I am grateful for this opportunity and excited for what is ahead. I look forward to making a positive impact on our programs and the people we serve.”

Join us in giving Darcy a warm YMCA welcome! 👏💙 We can’t wait for you to meet her at the pool!
