Corporal Boggs and Detective Lynxwiler participated in MTES Tribe day in a very special way.

As some of you may know, Kindergarten teacher, Ms. Leanda was diagnosed with a cancer. Wanting to help, Det. Lynxwiler, and Cpl. Boggs started a fill the bucket fundraiser to show our support!

Together with the support of the students, teachers, and parents, we raised $1002 to help support Ms. Leanda.

We would also like to say thank you to McClendon Ace Hardware for the buckets and Bills Cashsaver for donating the whipped cream for this fundraiser.
Thank you!!!

****UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE****

Tomorrow, we pay our respects to our fallen brother and friend Officer Trevor Howard. Words cannot express the sorrow our department, families, and community has felt.

Officer Trevor Howard was a great officer. He worked with our department as a part time officer for several months before being offered a full time position in May. He was always quick to help someone in need, and always willing to learn new things about this job, and about the people that he was sworn to serve.

Officer Howard enjoyed playing music, going to church, and serving and protecting the community of Marked Tree.

In honor of his sacrifice, The Marked Tree Police Department, Poinsett County Sheriffs Office, Arkansas State Police, and other assisting agencies will return to the City of Marked Tree so Officer Trevor can do one last ride, and the community can pay their respects and honor his sacrifice.

The procession begins at the Exit 14 South bound off ramp, down Highway 75/63b, down Frisco Street, then down 10th Street before returning back to the interstate.

The procession will begin after his funeral in Jonesboro at 2:00pm, and it will be approximately 3:30-3:45pm on the streets listed above.

The Marked Tree Police Department, as well as the family and friends of Officer Trevor Howard ask for your continued prayers and support. We would like to thank each and everyone of you for continuous support.

John 15:13 : "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."

Rest easy 907. Your watch is over, we will take it from here, until we meet again.
