May 1 will be a coordinated day of action where we are demanding:
Tax the rich so our families, not their fortunes, come first.
ICE Out. No private army serving authoritarian power.
Expand democracy, not corporate power. Defend free and fair elections not a rigged disaster.

On Friday, May 1st, Third Act is coming together again with millions across the country to remind everyone – this May Day, It’s Workers Over Billionaires!
Third Act is proud to partner with AFL-CIO, Indivisible, Climate Defenders, Fridays for Future USA, MoveOn, Move To Amend, Sunrise Movement, and hundreds of other groups in this effort.

Our role is to bring the power and wisdom of elders to this movement, making sure our voices are heard loud and clear to protect our democracy and our rights.
We aim to promote and mobilize attendance at these events nationwide. Third Act volunteers and Working Groups can be involved in various ways, including encouraging participation in an event hosted by others or sharing the sign-up page on the website.

No Kings As the president escalates his authoritarian power grab, the NO KINGS non-violent movement continues to rise stronger. We are united once again to remind the world: America has No Kings and the power belongs to the people.
Governor Maura Healey's executive order aims to limit the activities of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Massachusetts by prohibiting civil arrests in non-public areas of state facilities and banning the use of state property for immigration enforcement. It also restricts new agreements that would allow local police to act as federal immigration agents unless there is a public safety need. Thank you Governor Healey!

Ash Wednesday February 18, 2026 marks the first day of the Lenten season. Lent is the liturgical time lasting 40 days before Easter when Catholics prepare to commemorate Jesus’s Resurrection through prayer, penance, and fasting.

Ramadan 2026 is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, marking a sacred period of fasting, prayer, and reflection for Muslims worldwide. It is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, and during this month, Muslims abstain from food and drink from dawn until sunset, focusing on spiritual growth and self-discipline. The month is expected to begin around February 18 or 19, 2026, and end with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr on March 19 or 20, 2026. Ramadan is significant as it commemorates the first revelation of the Holy Quran to Prophet Muhammad, and it encourages believers to strengthen their faith, seek forgiveness, and practice compassion for the less fortunate.
